I was searching for some ceramic nesting bowls this morning and stumbled onto the work of ceramic artist Jennifer Graham. If you follow me on Inklore you know that I am currently fascinated with black and white in my own work, so these gorgeous pieces caught my eye immediately.
She uses actual textile elements of pattern,
stitching and texture to emboss her studio made contemporary porcelain pieces. The delicate construction and raw edges echo the qualities of the fabrics. Her hand built forms result in an organic sense of rhythm. The limited palette and rich textures create clean lined contemporary works. (from Jennifer's website)
