Good Habits :: Morning Water

Sometimes it's overwhelming to read about all of the things we should be doing to stay healthy. It's so much easier to make one small step at a time than a thousand all at once. So, I've decided to start a series here each week: Good Habits for Good Measure. Each week, I'll share one healthy habit for you or your home (and for me).

It wasn't so long ago that I headed off to the doctor one day with a complaint. "My hand shakes when I'm holding my cup of coffee", I said. I thought I had some horrible disease. Turns out, I was drinking too much coffee, so much that I couldn't remember how many cups per day when the doctor asked me. I've since lessened my coffee consumption quite a bit, but it is still the first thing I have each morning.

So, the good habit I'm introducing is simple: a glass of water before my morning coffee. Do you already do this or are you like me? I can't be the only one...
