Don't Sing At The Table

Yesterday, I sat down with my book and a little snack and noticed that the moment was entirely pink. Isn't it funny when life is color-coordinated?

I'm really enjoying this little book, Don't Sing at the Table: Life Lessons From My Grandmothers. It is full of tidbits of wisdom, each accompanied by an anecdote or story. A few of my favorites:

  • speak with kindness.
  • fill your home with music, flowers and beauty your child will remember.
  • when you can, walk.
  • wear what you like, not what looks good on someone else.
  • let children see you do for others.

Did your grandmothers leave you any bits of wisdom like these?
